CHUD was able to speak to producer Joel Silver about the “Justice League of America” movie, which Silver said is currently “tabled.” While that doesn’t mean that the film has been cancelled, it does though mean, that the film is once again on hold.

During the last few months, the production has faced lots of problems. First, the Australian government refused to give the film a large tax break, since they consider it to be an American film, rather than Australian. The director, George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feed), has been fighting the decision, but ultimately, failed to reach a deal.

The other issue with the film has been the rumored cast, which will not include Brandon Routh as Superman or Christian Bale as Batman. If “Justice League” ever gets going again, there is a good chance that re-casting will be done.
