SuperheroHype! is reporting that the upcoming “Iron Man” film, which is set to hit theaters on May 2nd, will release a day earlier (May 1st) at 8pm. This is great news, since the movie will premier in most countries on April 30th and May 1st. Now, US fans will get a chance to check the movie out, before major spoilers begin spilling onto the net.
“Iron Man” tells the story of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), the enigmatic heir to the Stark Enterprises fortune. A driven inventor and executive who seems to have it all, Tony is haunted by his dark side. Though he commands his empire by day, by night he secretly becomes “Iron Man,” the living embodiment of decades of defense spending and innovation. Strapping on billions of dollars worth of state-of-the-art armor and weaponry each night to fight crime, terrorism and corporate espionage, Tony begins to crack under the strain of his fractured lifestyle and must ultimately confront the one enemy he can never beat — himself.
In other news, MovieHole got the chance to see an advance screening of the film and sadly reports that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) does not appear in it as previously rumored. For some good news, the trailer for “X-Files 2” will premier in front of “Iron Man.”
