Since the new “Terminator” film has been announced, fans have been wondering if California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would be asked to make a cameo.
Back in March 2007, MGM Chairman and CEO Harry Sloan said that “Arnold may do a cameo. I think it’s in his contract.” Then Halycon representative Annabelle Gross confirmed in May 2007 that Arnold “signed on as executive producer for all three pictures, and we are in talks for further appearance licensing.”
In December 2007, producers Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek stated: “He may make a cameo. It still hasn’t been determined, but if he does, it would be a very small cameo.”
Now, Arnold has decided to clear things up, revealing that he would be interested in a cameo, but under one condition. “I’ve never had a dialogue with anyone about it,” he explained. “But if they shoot the movie in California, I would (be a part of it), yes.”
Will the filmmakers change their shooting plan to make Arnold happy and get him into the picture? It’s hard to say, since principal photography is set to begin on May 5th in Mexico.
